Probably better to get the suit tailor made. Not expensive here.

Where we live the problem is the pipe in the development. It is too small. They lacked vision when they built it.
We wanted to pay extra for a commercial service. China Telecom refused to sell it to us, as our local infrastructure is not up to it.
NB
There is also China Unicom, another provider. I doubt if they are any better as there is no real competition in this market.
I don't know about real time, other than CCTV9. But msnbc.com is pretty up to date.
As is bbc.co.uk.
Both have video
There are no big chains that do bulk purchasing and pass on the discounts here.
There is BestBuy in China (not Kunming yet), but as they have no competition they are not passing on the savings.
There are also a lot of cameras for sale in the computer malls. But beware of fakes. I even saw a fake Cannon store in one city.
The camera shop on Beijing Lu near Ginko does have a reasonable selection of cameras. But there are lots of camera shops in every city.

I will be applying for a Z visa.
Am I correct in thinking that travel agent in KMG can do this, or is this a travel agent in HK?
Do I still have to physically leave China?
Sorry for asking dumb questions.

Great to know it is no longer dry.
Good review BTW
This has moved.
The cut flowers are about 700m east on Duonan Jie. The plants and trees are about 700 m west and follow Duocai Section.
A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.
They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.

Lijiang to restrict risqué ads targeting tourists
Posted byAnother reason to consider revoking the World Heritage Status. I don't think there are any precedents for this, but now China has so many such sites I think the political fall out will be much less. I think that the original mistake was putting the matter of reconstruction in the hands of someone so inexperienced.
37% of Kunming university students consider plastic surgery
Posted byAlso consider that résumés in China are expected to have a photograph. It is widely thought, and probably true, that a lot of candidates are rejected based on their appearance in the photo.
Season's greetings from the Kunming PSB
Posted byIn my country, you don't need a licence as such (to sell most products). But you are regulated, which amounts to the same thing.
At the very least you must be a registered trader, pay tax, VAT, have insurance, and if you employ people the regulations get more complicated. There are very few exceptions to this, garage sales and church fundraisers being two of them.
And Merry Xmas everyone, even if that isn't PC anymore.
