I am a proponent of the psycho-social hypothesis. I deem UFOs as a complete myth. We are not being visited. But there is evidence for a myth. In "How Modern Society Invented UFOs," I argue that UFOs developed as a belief system as reflection of today's times, namely as a myth of the space age and how it reflects the emergence of secularism. The post WWII era was a different world. The political structure changed. The Cold War began. The government was engaged in secret activity as Cold War strategy.
