My wife and I are caring for an orphan street kitten that is in very bad health.
We are unable to look after her long-term and we are trying to find someone who would love to give her a home.
If we cannot, does anybody know of a reputable cat or animal shelter in Kunming?
Additionally if you read this and you would like to have a beautiful new pet who has had a rough start to life please contact Tristram on 18213489253 or at tristram.barker@gmail.com
I am interested in reading three of the 'four great classical novels' in English (I've already read - and loved - Journey to the West).
It is not hard to get a copy but there are a bewildering amount of different translations. In my experience the quality of translation can make or break the experience so I was wondering if anybody out there who has read a particularly good edition could recommend one to me.

Thanks for the comments bad boy and debaser. For the record the Flying Tigers did approach Gokunming for a story before the match which they turned down on the grounds that it was repetitive.
It was down to us I guess, to report on the result of the match (26-7 to Kunming) afterward and I put my hand up in not doing so - probably because I spent the following week recovering.
Sean1 Blobbles only mentioned rugby as an example to start the thread but anyway, two stories from the last game in March (first ever match in the city and its result) are the sum total of rugby coverage on Gokunming. You're right in saying that I should have posted in the forums or classifieds even if it was picked up
If its sport, travel, environental news, food, politics or yes, even macrame I'm happy to hear about it. Like many others I found employment and entertainment and even started the rugby team on gokunming so all in all its a great service.
Cheers Omgiri
It was an awesome job from the Kunming guys - especially the ones playing their first game. Thanks to the Pandas for coming down and being such great tourists, JJ for reffing the match and everyone who helped to make it happen.
The Flying Tigers will be back!
