Hi Dash
Can you confirm if you need to have a letter from employer stating the visa is required from Chang Mai.
Any other info would be useful and appreciated.

I live here.
I NEED one meal a day that is not Chinese. I tried to eat only Chinese food and actually started to get depressed. I was somehow unbalanced.
When in UK my Chinese wife, like most Chinese people abroad, sought out Chinese food. I fully understood and accepted this. My wife fully understands and accepts my need for familiar food.
Why is it only some Lau Wai who don't get it. There is enough food fascism with some of the radical vegans, thank you very much.
Does not issue tourist visas
Perhaps they issue work visas, and business visas, which is why most of us go for border runs.
Dian Chi Golf is about 800 RMB per round. The driving range is, I think, 30 RMB for 30 balls.
Gold is a rich man's pastime here. Rather like the UK 50 years ago.
Membership for the Dian Chi course is, I think, 400 000 for life membership. I am not sure if there are also green fees.
What time of day/night will the games be on here??
Are there re-runs later in the day?
No results found.
Great to know it is no longer dry.
Good review BTW
This has moved.
The cut flowers are about 700m east on Duonan Jie. The plants and trees are about 700 m west and follow Duocai Section.
A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.
They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.

Lijiang blaze destroys old town businesses
Posted byI have seen the tiny fire pumps/engines in Lijiang, I have no idea how many there are, probably only two (just in case). There is a dedicated firehouse at one of the gates to the old city. The mini engines are like the mini road sweepers on Haigeng Daba. About 1.5 m wide. The are basically just a pump on wheels, they carry no water, and I assume pump from the streams that follow the streets.
I imagine if there are many people there, navigating the streets would be difficult. And a wheeled vehicle could not take the routes that have steps.
As Alex said, it could have been much worse.
