Yesterday, I was going to post two requests for information on GoKunming. Halfway through typing the first question, I thought better of it. I didn't post either inquiry, to avoid the possibility of unhelpful responses.
There are cities that are 'hot' but Kunming is not one of them.
Yes, a very big 'depending where'. Additionally, although values on paper may increase, being able to sell for that value is another matter.
I went to Mei Li shop today. It is in the first alley south of the junction mentioned above.
It has a very wide range of stock covering pretty much everything outdoors. They have a lot of international brand gear. Some of it is expensive, but there is topflight stuff, if genuine.
No results found.
Great to know it is no longer dry.
Good review BTW
This has moved.
The cut flowers are about 700m east on Duonan Jie. The plants and trees are about 700 m west and follow Duocai Section.
A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.
They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
Kunming north-south metro lines near completion
Posted byWhen they first did this in Shanghai in about 2004-5, it was necessary to exit some subways stations, and cross a road to get to some rail stations. Eventually it all got sorted out.
Kunming north-south metro lines near completion
Posted byLine 5 has not projected start date. Yet it would serve NanYa and Dianchi Road down to Dian Wei Chen.
I can only assume line 4 is the same and could be the thin purple line running NW to SE.

Great Britain in Kunming schedule of events
Posted by5 Star venue, 5 star prices. Not a helpful venue. It is so far out of town that many people who should be going may not have the time to make the trek.
