OK, we have heard all sides of a particular argument and have come full circle now. The discussion is coming up with nothing new, apart from speculative attempts to debunk sources, and data.
If you have updated information or something new to add, feel free to contribute.
As the original question about where Wechat information can be found was on this thread, the response also belongs on this thread. The question falls into both camps. Some convergence is inevitable.
In all forum threads there is often deviation from the intended purpose of the original poster. That is normal. The discussion has not deviated to the point of needing tidying up at this stage.

I read, "anyone caught selling or using "counterfeit" spray snow products will be investigated for legal liability and possibly held criminally responsible", slightly differently.
My read.
This stuff can damage property, especially clothes and some paintwork. If you sell or use the stuff you can be held responsible for criminal damage. Complaints of this sort will be investigated.
I can only see one instance of the word. Small 'c' seems to be appropriate. the term used is pro-communist. That would suggest a political leaning, not necessarily an allegiance to a political party.
It also depends on your schedule. If you only have a few days it may be better to fly. The plane is about an hour flight, plus all the check in times and baggage reclaim. The airport is about 30-40 mins taxi from the airport.
It won't be warm right now either. Except for the hotpot that is.
A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.

Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.
They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
