Well, one mistake Yang made was operating on a wrong tooth. How is that professional? The other incident happened to a friend of mine earlier this year, 2 months after getting his tooth 'fixed' he needed to go down to Bangkok and refix it again.
Also she completely lost it on me when something between my wife and her got lost in translation. As in freaked out on me on the phone, actually screamed and yelled at me. Yeah, that's totally pro.
As for chickens running inside the clinic, for those of you who thinks it's quaint, or cute and charming, well, I guess there are people who would opt to have open heart surgery performed in a abbatoir as well, eh?
I wish 'mikemikkelsen' could explain why it's humorous to have chickens running around, potentially pooping on dental tools before it was inserted into people's mouths. Tell me which point of humor I lost back there, mikemikkelsen.
@laobendan: Yang actually mentioned to me that she graduated top or near top of her class, so you can take it however which way you want. And I'm not trying to 'flame hatred' here, more of a case of 'buyers beware'. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.
I just want to share this with people living in Dali or those considering to get dental work done in Dali.
DO NOT, I repeat do not, please for whatever reason, do not go to the dentist behind the Bakery 88 on Bo Ai Lu. The 'dentist', a Ms. Yang is one of the most unprofessional person in the medical trade I've ever come across.
In the last year, just from people I know, she had destroyed one person's tooth, wrongly operated on a different tooth than the one needing operation(while still charging for it, apparently malpractice suits are not common here) and made some brutal mistakes with my wife's root canal. And to top it off, when I was down there to get my wife records from the 'dentist' yesterday, she had 2 chickens outside that she had ordered delivered to her office and they came inside and pooped on the floor in the reception which is only 2m without any physical separation from a patient's chair. I pointed the poop out to her and she just shrugged. WTF?
Anyways, people in Dali, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this 'dentist'. Your teeth are not something to joke around with unprofessional service. Go find a good dentist in Kunming or at a hospital in Xiaguan.
5000? That's it? I don't really think so. I think I heard from someone there's about 50,000 foreigners in Km? But take it with a grain of salt, it's just second hand info from a friend of a friend who claims to know.
Does anybody here do any downhill mtb'ing in Yunnan? If so, where? I'm trying to put together a list of must ride places in Yunnan, but downhill only. Cheers.
Getting Away: Shaxi
Posted byIt took me forever to locate Shaxi on Google Earth. I've made a kmz file, but I cannot upload it on here. Any idea how to do it? Cheers
