The road should be good or the road is good? The road is a mess right now. This is why I said - Please let us know the conditions of the road if you do make it out to Lugu Lake. To inquire if the mess has been cleared by now.

The road is a catastrophe right now because of the rain and mudslides. The best and cheapest hotel rates are from the big hotels which offer big new rooms for about 150 Yuan because they are empty and have many vacant rooms.

Please let us know the conditions of the road if you do make it out to Lugu Lake.

I read somewhere that to make a liter of coke or pepsi they needed over a gallon of water - not very eco-friendly.

I really would like to know what that magic ratio really is - water:coke.

The water that is sprayed on the streets to reduce dust and on the plants and trees comes from the sewer. If you look carefully, you will see the trucks lined up near the canals filling their tanks. They do not use potable water for these things.

The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.
