I understand that you do NOT want to be a vindictive person and take actions against this person. However, please keep in mind that this UNKNOWN woman does this for a living - she purposely chooses the foreigners who are here for a short time so she can get what she wants from you and others without paying you because she knows most of these young foreigners have to leave and do NOT have many options in getting their money.
As Hella stated above, they probe you to find out how much you know to see if they can get away with their scam. These people need to be exposed. Names are NOT imporatnt, but phone numbers, complete descriptions, pictures and places where they do their business are very important.
You can even ask the sponsors of this website to run an article on this problem. Include pictures of the locations and the KEY people who are doing this.
Remember, EVIL is always ACTIVE and evil people rely on the fact that GOOD people are INACTIVE and forgiving. If you take time to read all the posts on this forum over the last few years you will find that these people have HURT many people and they continue to do so because no one stands against them.
I hope the people who KNOW about this and other scams can take some time to photograph the locations and the people and expose for them for what they are
In your reply you address me directly as Hugo, but then you say - YOU people - so it seems very clear that I am NOT the only one who holds this opinion of you. I am just honest and direct in telling you what I feel.
This forum is intended for anyone to write what they please, but keep in mind that others also have the right to say what they please about you and your comments.
I suggest you just tell us all who you are CLEARLY and DIRECTLY and then put your posts here in a more DIRECT manner then you will not receive the replies that you have in the past
I went to the train station a few days ago and noticed that the security check is now on the street in front of the Big Bull Statue. I can finally take a picture of the bull without all the people standing around it.
I have seen many changes over the last 10 years here in Kunming. Although smoking still has a long way to go, it is much improved than it was in the past.
Most taxis are now 100% smoke free. Street buses are 100% smoke free now. Long distance buses are also 100% smoke free. The only problem still seems to be the small buses that go to the villages.
My wife just translated this article for me. This is our little critter as it mentions our residential quarter. Glad to see he has a few more days of life in the wilderness before someone else recaptures him.
The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.

You can also do the entire loop for 250 Yuan. Jianchuan to Shi Bao Shan then on to Shaxi and then back to Jianchuan.
I recommend you stay an extra day and climb 1000 Lion Mountain. I really like this place.
