I took the subway as always heading towards Lianda, but the subway stopped at Chunrong Jie where everyone was asked to disembark. I must admit this was my first time to stop there when I noticed they already have the third track installed and ready to go.
looks like the line to the CRH will be running by the December deadline.
Sidenote: The Pan Jia Wan area is not being repaved and ready for traffic. Thank goodness as this was causing major delays heading into Xiao Xi Men. Can't wait for the rest of Ren Min West Road to be repaved.
For those who use the subway often like me, perhaps you have noticed that there is a recent addition to the subway diagrams just above the doors of the trains.
In the diagram there is a new line that connects to the Chunrong St exit. Of course that line is not in use yet but it leads to the new Kunming South Railway Station just 4 stops away.
Like all surveys - this survey is biased and inconclusive. Unless the people interviewed have at least visited the cities that were on the survey - this survey is completely useless. At least Kunming got a good rating.
Tian Yuan Bridge in Ma Jun Village (Not far from the new Train Station).
Xiang Hui Bridge in Xiang Hui Village. There is also the old Xiang Hui Qiao Train Station.
Jian Long Qiao in Ma Jia Ying Village.
Finally, there is the Da Xin Bridge in Qujiang. There is a train station here now but I have not visited this bridge since the new train station has opened. This bridge is about 40 km north of Jian Shui Old Town.
The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.
