Forums > Travel Yunnan > Pu Zhe Hei - Wenshan Scam

I have visted Pu Zhe Hei many times in the last 8 years and and I have watched the ticket prices go up from 60 Yuan to 100 Yuan, to 160 Yuan and now to 200 Yuan. I know because I always keep my ticket stubs.

The 200 price includes a 30 minute boat ride on the river and entrance to 3 caves. I only discovered on my last trip that one does NOT have to purchase any tickets to get inside. The tickets are only for the boat ride and the caves.

Anyone can walk and take pictures anywhere without purchasing the tickets and there is no one to ask to show your tickets. I usually arrive in Qiu Bei in the evening drive 30 minutes to Pu Zhe Hei and get a room at any of the guesthouses there. In the morning I am free to roam where I please and I have no need to purchase any tickets.

Wow!!! that was fast - Why verification?
In the near future GoKunming will require all users to verify their email address to prevent fake account registrations and spam.

Yesterday afternoon I wrote to the GoKunming staff regarding this same question I posted above. When I tried to post the above comment a few minutes ago I was surprised to see this new verification.

Although I did not receive an answer to my question yesterday I feel this new process has answered my question.

I still have the same question as AlexKMG about deleting posts without notification. A locked thread can still be read and the last statement at the bottom reads locked thread. No reason is required, this is the right of the GoKunming staff and in most cases the reason for the locked thread is self evident - stupidity. But when posts are deleted, there is no way to see them again and no reason is given.

@AlexKMG - "Whats this about deleting posts???" I am Not a computer guru so I hope someone can help me with a reply. I am wondering if the moderators of this forum know when a user creates multiple usernames?

I have been in Kunming for 7 years and have this same account since 2009. Since then I only made 43 posts to this forum but in the last month I have jumped to over 90, most of which I directed to Crazy.Laowai and pleaded with him in one case to stop his rantings because I noticed his posts were getting locked and made numerous comments about increasing censorship.

Back to my question - Is this the same person creating new accounts?
Can WE, the public be informed who they are as they have already been banned? Will this violate their privacy? I directed my question to you Alex because you previously inquired about deleted posts without notification which can longer be found.

Well off foreigner = Assumption on your part, I have been poor all my life. Most people value money and think being successful means having money and toys. I am blessed in many ways and I share what I have with others as best I can.

Relatively poor area of the world = China has the 2nd highest GDP in the world. China has many high Speed Trains - Kunming will have 2 by 2016 - USA has none.

My horse seems high to you merely because of perspective. Suggest you get off your low donkey.

We all need money to survive in this world but money is NOT my main purpose in life. By controlling your needs and minimizing your wants most people can live very happy lives. I dont need to eat at Salvadores or McDonalds every day or go shopping at Metro. I need water to live but I do not need beer or pepsi.

If you are truly interested in what I do then send me a civil invite via PM so we can meet and talk and then your curiosity can be satisfied. Most reasonable people find it hard to be uncivil after meeting, regardless of differences.

The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.
