Liuming,

I agree with you totally and I understand your meaning of funny. I also share your sentiments regarding the right to post any opinions, regardless of how ridiculous they may seem.

Unfortunately, the moderators of GoKunming do NOT share in our sentiments and there has been some censorship here in recent months as well as some recent posts concerning guidelines, rules and censorship. As you can read from some of the replies, some members are eager to see more censorship and more locking of threads, and SPAM buttons.

I personally do NOT approve of ANY type of censorship because the moment it begins, censorship will have no end.

I perfectly understand why the moderators locked a few threads lately. The problem is that a few people are writing some absurd things here and it causes the moderators to do something about it. Of course, the only option is to lock the thread.

I hope the OP of this post will realize that this type of posting will eventually result in locking this thread = locking a thread means censorship.

Crazy, I am pleading with you to please look at how many of your previous posts have been locked. Remember, locking a post equals censorship. Please do NOT force the moderators to begin this course of action because once it begins it will NOT end.

Funny? There is absolutely nothing funny about this. GoKunming used to be a wonderful source of information and a great place for expats to communicate, share information and learn about what is going on in the community. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.

Crazy - I think some psychiatric help may be more useful rather than going to some restaurants if you feel this way - But I usually feel uncomfortable, like people are looking at me or judging me. I feel like I am the outcast because I am dining alone.

Does anyone else ever feel this way? Only adolescents during their egocentric stage of development.

My wife called today to inquire and they do not care about safety at all. Their only concern is catching the illegal vendors who do not have a license to sell. Same goes for fireworks.

I called because the public area next to my house was littered with empty cans of this crap this morning, so we called to tell them that the store was selling this stuff. They only care about illegal street vendors - nothing more. Licensed store can seel as much as they want.

This is a big LIE - anyone caught selling or using "counterfeit" spray snow products will be investigated for legal liability and possibly held criminally responsible. This is also true for other inflammable items — such as fireworks — deemed a danger to public order.

If the govt does not get paid, then they can not sell this. The sole purpose of this is to stop anyone who does not have a license. Key word - counterfeit.

We just called 12319 - This is a useless notice - here is the key words - PSB has forbidden all unlicensed curbside peddlers from selling feixue (飞雪) products. So this crap can be sold in stores in any quantity and people can do whatever they want with it. This is an attack on the ppor - the poor people who are trying to make a buck selling this without a license.

What holiday??? Christmas or Chinese New Year? Is PSB making this announcement to foreigners or to Chinese. I have seen many chinese children and a few chinese adults playing with the spray confetti but I yet to see one foreigner spraying this stuff.

Will the people who set up booths and sell fireworks also be - investigated for legal liability and possibly held criminally responsible. This is also true for other inflammable items — such as fireworks — deemed a danger to public order.

Can't wait to call 12345 when I see them.

The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.
