Can anyone fill in the blanks and provide a source as well.
What city smelled bad? There are 25 provinces in Cambodia.
No idea what he does in Cambodia, he is merely an acquaintance. I just know he is very content because he does not have any visas issues to deal with for him or his chinese wife. He previously lived in Thailand and the visa problems were becoming an issue.
I love hot tropical weather (very healthy). As for shopping malls, I do not see them as a leisure activity, empty people go to shopping malls to kill time or to be entertained and waste money on useless items. Bars and Karaoke is another activity of the boring and addicted. There is lots to see and do in Cambodia. Great place to be if one likes nature. With 25 provinces to choose from I cannot imagine anyone can be bored in Cambodia. Great people.
Laos is another great choice but the visa quickly becomes an issue if one wants to stay long term.
I have an acquaintance that has been living in Cambodia for 3 years with his Chinese wife. The visa issue is great for both of them as they do not need to work or put money in the bank as they do in Thailand. They can get either a 6 month or 1 year visa without any problems. Cambodia is inexpensive, not like Japan or Korea. Korea has never appealed to me, mainly because of the cold weather. As you stated earlier, Japan is very expensive and too crowded.
How long is each stay?

The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.

Holiday operator suspended for violating national tourism laws
Posted byGreat!!! Finally!!! Glad to see this is now finally taking place. My wife and I were trapped in a Honk Kong tour for 2 days with the same type of evil person as described in this article. They held my wife's passport so we could not leave on our own and kept us trapped in a bus for hours were we had to listen to the BS the tour guide had to say.
Around Town: China's last narrow gauge passenger train
Posted byShizui - 石咀 - Stone Mouth - Now that they are building the subway line along Chun Yu Road in Majie I hope they fix the entrance to this station. Few people even know it is there and are probably not aware that they can get on the train at this station.
Right across the street from this station is Horse Racing Park which is still under renovation. There is a nice temple as well as a small zoo which includes ostrich, camels, yaks, and monkeys.
