@ tiger: it would, tiger, but we are talking about profit-making here as the motive force for speaking, not about what is ciivilized (whatever that might mean), honest or true.
@tiger: OK, you may be right, but there are 2 thumbs-down on my last post - what is this supposed to mean, to me or to anybody else - that I shouldn't be asking gokunming this question?
gokunming, what are the thumbs up/thumbs down supposed to be for - total agreement/total disagreement with the speaker? It would seem to me that a mere statement of disagreement, by thumbs-down, doesn't contribute much to any discussion and that the person who disagrees should make a minimal effort to explain why, otherwise he/she isn't really contributing much to the discussion.
Alternatively, a thumbs down might just mean 'You're off the topic'.

Posted byOK. but I think.I'd use 'they', for accuracy' - 'we' is too simple and too vague, besides which it seems to speak primarily to US and Chinese posters.

Getting Away: Six days hiking in Sichuan's Yading Nature Reserve, part I
Posted byTK2018: Yes, I agree. Very nice writing, not just of the place but also of the experience. I envy the author this one. In reading the article I found myself remembering a few experiences I've had in similar mountain country decades ago (I hope this doesn't sound like boasting) and thinking the author and I had attained more or less the same plane, something we could share if we met - I could identify. Not everyone can express it this well.
