@vicar the op is comparing the publishing choices of private companies YouTube, Google and Facebook to Chinese state censorship, two completely different things.
What "fake news departments" are you talking about? Voice of America? Russia Today? Also, the argument "further on down the line" is meaningless.
To recap, YouTube, Facebook and Google are not preventing anyone from accessing conservative or any other media.
@Liu the Breitbart article about state imposed censorship in China may well be accurate; it seems to be in line with what many other news sources have already reported. How you equate Chinese censorship with alleged censorship of "conservatives and the like" from private companies is not at all clear. Are you suggesting governments step in and force Google and Facebook to publish/censor only what the state deems appropriate?
In the U.S. my first Chinese wife was a relatively rare and exotic catch. Here in China, if my beloved ever chose to leave me, it would not be hard to find an even younger replacement. I hope that never happens, but it's a nice kind of insurance policy to have!
