the chinese Local is a Kunming police officer that i know. and he told me that there is NO way for a food truck, but obviously, without feet on the ground i imagine there is no way to know for sure.
thank you everybody for your input. It is very eye opening!
I have read that in Dali, Western food is much more welcome being a more tourist destination. Is this accurate?
BTW, Greek fast food has nothing to do with cheeses. It's more about pork and chicken. i understand that the flavor needs to be "tuned" for local preferences.
In regard to the food cart/truck, THIS was my first instinct. but i have been told that there is NO WAY that i could get licensing for it.
Any thoughts?
One other question, how feasible is it to ship products to Kunming for the purpose of reselling I mean, things like wines or herbs, or cheeses? Would there be such a demand so as to even sell some of these products there?
@goldie i understand what you mean and no i would not be relying on just the expats. the expats though i hope would introduce the food to their local contacts/friends. And i would prefer to be completly legit if possible.
what is the appr. population for EXpats living in that area? does anybody know?
