Add to that the wife now thinks it's hilarious a foreigner nearly dropped me after me moaning for nearly 3 years about the chinese on their mopeds.
It's the latest friend/family joke lol

While on the subject of moped/bike drivers I'd like to take the chance to moan about some crazy foreigner on one!
Crossing the road in front of the Aegean today a foreigner on one came out of nowhere going wrong way down the road with the light red at super speed, nearly hit me and then carried skimming the rest of the people crossing, shaved a bus going by and then carried on wrong way down the next road he'd turned into.
I thought chinese were bad on 2 wheels but you sir were a complete ......... insert whatever expletive you feel suits ;)
Anyway he probably not reading, just fancied a moan and wow this thread popped up lol
oops it's mia.com and they do sell huggies :)
You should try mai.com if possible (chinese language) with the nappies. Me and my wife had the same experience with the nappies we bought in carrefour (merris brand), they were about 160 rmb there but on the store for two packs they were 199 rmb. The difference between them as well was carrefour's were made in china and the onlne store's were made in japan and didn't leak like carrefour's did. Top of my head I know they sell other brands like pampers etc so worth a try.
As for anything in specialist shops I'd have a browse but if you see anything you like buy it online, the aegean mall near me (know it's far) has loads of baby shops but everything they sell is double the price online.

The latest report on the BBC seems a bit more soothing and less dramatic than the previous one. Hopefully the deadline ('Local authorities have now been given a deadline of Friday to identify who bought the medicines') given by the government will show where would be effected by weak immunisations as that is what it should come down to at most ('The China office of the World Health Organization (WHO) said vaccines needed to be handled properly or they can become less effective.
But it stressed that improperly kept vaccines did not in themselves present much danger').
No results found.
Been here several times lately and every time I've enjoyed my meal. Don't know why some others have said it was pricey, the price has always seemed fair to me :)
Migrant workers receive bricks in lieu of pay
Posted byI was thinking the same with the way it would've been played out in court. I'm sure the owners aren't worrying about paying their kids tuition fees or even next months meals compared to some of the workers.
Life in Kunming: Studying Chinese in the Spring City
Posted byIt get's easier upon learning the way's of doing things, kind of becoming an automation on the regular things.
I've been here 4 and a half years learning a little all the time but the language never perfectly sticks, just slowly grows. It's a tough challenge especially when like JanJal my local spouse contributes quite a lot when I have trouble. It's something I think is always worth keeping up with if you're going to stay for any long length of time.

World War II cemetery in Yunnan receives national recognition
Posted byWas there in passing Monday and had dinner in the old town. I would've gone to this area as well had I known, for it's historical importance alone and to show some respect for the fallen of war.
Counting down Kunming's Top Ten Smells
Posted byI also would of put a good hotpot smell further up the list rather than a side mention, one of my faves!
