Hi folks, has anyone ever been birding in Xishuangbanna? If so, where do you recommend? I've been trying to look into traveling in Xishuangbanna here and it looks like most of the descriptions are about seeing minority villages and traditions, which are great, but my sister and I are interested in seeing local exotic species of birds, other wildlife, plants, etc. Are there any nature reserves, national parks, or similar places in Xishuangbanna? Recommendations? Thoughts? : )

I'd like to revive this thread... I'd like to find out any information I can about taking the bus to/from Jinghong -- especially how much it costs and how long it takes. And any other relevant information! Also, is it possible to buy bus tickets online??

Just downloaded the latest version (for about the fifth time in the last three weeks...these people are certainly earning the money I spent what with having to churn out these new updates all the time). Now it seems to be working fine! ^_^

Does anyone know anything about where to go in Thailand to update a visa? Soon I'm going to switch the type of visa I'm on, all seems good except that I need to go out of the country to do so. I've heard Thailand is okay for this, but it's unclear where I should go -- Chiang Mai? Bangkok? Either one? (And if so which is better...)
If anyone has any experience with this I'd be glad to hear about it, thanks!
