@sezuwupom, definitely gonna check it out! Also dope place deep down at the end of 文化巷 called 木鱼 with killer pizzas as well. Kunming's pizza world is as diverse as it is awesome.
You were and are not missed.
Nooooooooooooooooo! Don't leave us Shach!
At the time I mistakenly didn't get the limited passport and thought I could wait it out, and was unable to call my visa guy because my phone was locked up while I was in the consulate. After I got out I was told by him he needs my new passport info ASAP and can't wait till the last minute. So I'm still not sure about that but I do know that it will be free. (presuming what they said was accurate) The Chengdu airport and Chengdu in general (other than the hotel thing) was extremely chill and didn't need a health code when coming out or going in, however Kunming airport requires the green one twice to get in.

สวัสดี ครับ! Went there for the first time today and had the Red Curry and a Thai milk tea. Twas awesome and definitely worth a visit for those who are craving authentic Thai flavor.
Lost Garden's kitchen has became a Saratrical masterpiece! Great tea just the way it should be made, combined with tangy and titilating specialties from the south of the US, South of the border, and beyond! Rooftop is Kunmings top place to catch some rays and chill out with a book or some buddies and booze. Look forward to menu expansion and much love to the mastermind chef in the Kitchen!
Sir Chibbles is right! Sal's keeps on rockin year in and year out. Pumpkin soup with a jalapeño is king for killin those winter blues!
Revolutionary in the grand scheme of food options for health nuts and herbivores in Kunming. From some spicy fresh spring rolls to rockin' lentil curries, a great option for anyone who likes healthy and unique!
After somewhat of an 'As You Like' hiatus, caused by work and life in general, I was lucky enough to find some time for a latte and a mushroom and cream calzone at lunch today. The place has continued to improve in both the categories of taste and general quality. Those who haven't been, I would say it is in your best interest to make an effort to find the place and if you are in the Wenlinjie/wenhuaxiang area, you'll discover its right under your nose. Great place to chill, relax, and get away from the traffic, noise, and distractions that Kunming brings your way.
Getting Away: Songming's Crystal Palace
Posted byGood story Luan, I think i'll have to get out there sometime soon.
Film Review: The Fall of Womenland
Posted byYeah for real. After a thorough search for alternative sites to view from both China and abroad, it amazes me that for one, in Chinese webpages, the movie's title in both English and Chinese is not existant, and two, someone would go to so much work to make a documentary of this nature, only to make it so difficult to gain access to.
Patrick, how did you find the movie in the first place?
Around Town: Lianhuachi Park
Posted byAwesome article, perhaps the most informative and useful 'Around Town,' I have ever seen. I have passed by the place well over 500 times going to work and although thought it seemed interesting, never gave it a real chance. Now I can simplify this article a bit, teach my students about it as well as some great vocab in class and walk there for a field trip. Keep it up!
