Looking for a place to buy real fireworks (yanhua/lihua) not bianpao in the city. Or if you have any unused from chunjie? We'll be taking them outside of the city to set off but want to buy them beforehand in the city if possible

went to the "competition" at minzucun yesterday and it was pretty lame. it seems like people pre-signed up or paid to do the boat races and just not worth the trip to go see them. we waited for nearly an hour to see one race.

Does anyone know of Dragon boat festivities happening around Kunming today? Any boat races at Dianchi/Fuxian, etc.? I assume not Cuihu because it's too small..

Any update on this a year later? If there's anyone out there who knows about participating in local Chinese and/or English theater and could post here, that'd be great!
