I need to do some volunteer work placements for an online course I am studying. I have attempted to find/contact some of the organisations mentioned and even pm'ed some posters in this thread..... but I haven't had any luck.
I am free throughout the week and happy to volunteer my time for any local group/NGO etc. I am a qualified teacher but am happy to work in any capacity where I can be of use. If you know of anything, please pm me.
Thanks hfcampo, even though im staying out of town, the number 8 bus sounds like the way to go. Its our 1st time there, so geels nice to be a bit prepared :)
The subway is easy - all options, announcements and signs are in both Chinese and English. To buy a ticket for casual travel, just use the automated machine. The home screen has an English button. I believe the subways out our way (heading North) finish around 10/10.30pm
