Aaand... Do you have any idea where I could pick up a cheap sewing machine from?
I'm just wondering if there's a particular place in Kunming that has a large selection of fabrics to choose from for sale, preferably cheap? In smaller cities and towns I've been to I've seen fabric stores, usually selling materials used to make traditional clothing of whatever ethnic group populates the area. However, I have yet to come across something similar in Kunming. Perhaps someone knows where I can buy fabrics? I'm also looking for old linen if anyone knows where that's lurking?
I have a friend visiting me from another city this long weekend and he wants to visit some special place in Kunming. Unfortunately, as we're all aware the weathers a bit... shit. So I'm just wondering where we can go today were we can stay moderately warm and almost completely dry.

It's a bit late because Christmas is tomorrow but I need to buy cream for the cake I made and I don't want to end up running all over town for it. I was disappointed when I couldn't find any at my local Carrefour but it was okay because they had plain flour and baking powder! But now I still need cream so if anyone knows I'd hugely appreciate it if you let me know before lunchtime tomorrow.
