Hello all, have any of the non-Chinese friends delivered a baby in the Yunnan first people's hospital (kunhua hospital)?? If there are any please respond. I can't find a way to book an appointment with the doctor using my English name and passport number.

Where is this Calmette International hospital? Can you please let me know the chinese name for it?? I am also looking for a good hospital for giving birth, earlier i went to Angel for some checkups, its quite expensive but their service is quite good. I want to know more about other hospitals and then decide. I went to Yunda No 2 Hospital but the doctors even don't speak putonghua, they just speak Kunming dialect and they don't allow husbands or men to be inside their rooms. So it was difficult for me to communicate. Besides this, i waited for around 3-4 hours to see the doctor and too much crowded.

I would like to know which hospitals would provide a single room with atleast clean and better facilities with the rate being moderate.

Hi, I didn't find any tea shop or tea market where they sell Indian tea in Kunming. Being an Indian i love to have milk masala tea in the morning and all my teas i have been bringing from India to Kunming for the last 2 years.
I guess the Chinese people are just not used to drink that type of tea or don't prefer those type of tea leaves.

Tv shows very interesting and popular ones include 咱们结婚吧, 北京爱情故事, 小爸爸, 爸爸去哪儿, 我在北京挺好的. the last one is a recent one and 舌尖上的中国 is undoubtedly very good but maybe a bit hard to catch up with their fast commentary (at least for me it is). But there is another tv series knows as Happy Chinese or 快乐汉语, its a tv serial meant for foreigners to improve their Chinese skills.

For movies, Yes i think 活着 is excellent, and maybe all the movies of Zhang Yimou are awesome! Even Feng Xiaogang and Chen Gaige's movies are also very good.
