When I arrive in Kunming in 2012 Moondog for me was the neighborhood pub, where I met people, mostly foreigner, and which helped me to find by my ways in Kunming. It was also the meeting point for the very impressive amateur Musik scene in Kunming. I felt immediately home in this place and until it was sold in 2015 to new owners I spent countless enjoyable hours there, meeting people having good talks but I remember best the many gigs I played there with Joost. Sure it wasn't the place where you take your future in-laws for a first meeting, but it was always fun to be there and enjoy Fried's unbeatable collection of fine Whisky's. I am and always will be grateful for Joost's and Fried's friendship. I left Kunming for good in 2017.
Trump, Putin, Kim Jong Un, Assad, Erdogan, Duterte........I wonder how much more the world can stand and how much more the human race can take before they wake up, chase them to hell and find people who are really representing humanity. Or is it just a rumor that we are the most intelligent species on earth?
International Airline! Ha! Their ground staff does not recognize passports, luggage allowances are not known. Last time I had to discuss for 10 minutes if I need a visa for my home country. The staff is simply selected by look not qualification. Defiantly the worst airline I have used. Yet the one with the best connection from Kunming, and the only one with a direct service to Europe from Kunming. However, if I can avoid CE I'll I go for others, just to make similar experiences. Flying from Kunming airport sucks either way.
Good luck to you and your partners. I wish you all the success to write the next chapter in the "Moondog history" and bring this unique place to the next level. Cheers!
Thanks for the info. My respect for the guy who bought more than half of the raffle tickets and then still raised additional money by auctioning all the prices he won. meaning almost 25% of the total success is his personal contribution. @mPRin: Is the earthquake outreach center identical with the Red Cross?
Would be nice to have a short review from the organizers or read a short write up on GoKunming. First Hand News are always better and I believe all the donors, guests and participants deserve to know what was the final outcome.

...... and live in a cave, make fire using flint stones, in short: turn back time to the days when we all lived a simpler but better live.......
Is this what you are saying? Wake up and deal with it, that's the way it is.
It is a little too far to get your backery stuff from the "best backery in China" if you are living in Kunming. ;-) Any plans to open a outlet in Kunming?
