OK dear Kunming peeps, here's some historical art questions!
So I just started studying history of east asian art and I have to do a first presentation on a piece of art. I decided to do it on a piece of Shibaoshan in Jianchuang county close to Dali. I'm especially interested in the piece the Venus of the East. Now the hook!
So I did visit this place and I do remember reading some tale about this caved figure (the woman with the whole) and somehow I remember reading that she is treated as the Venus of the East. But I can't find anything about it on the net!
Can anyone help me? English or Chinese both is fine, important is some information.
Thanks a million:)
I was lucky too! My parcel from new zealand just arrived today and it was delivered to my house! Took a bit longer though, about 17 days!
I guess maybe because there was a customs declaration on the parcel and it's signed as gift. But I don't know... Anyway still waiting for the one from the US...
Dear Kunmingers, I just arrived in town and am waiting for two parcels who are supposed to arrive from NewZealand and America. I was waiting for them to be delivered to my house, but now a friend told me that I will most probably have to go to the international arrivals postoffice and get it myself.
Does anyone has experience with this? And knows where this postoffice is?
