Forums > Living in Kunming > Please may somebody help me to get Studient Visa in Kunming?

Yuanyangren i cannot say im 100% sure because it didnt happen to me, but i know for cases in this semestar when students were sent to the Dean office an threaten that if they dont begin to go on classes they visa will be canceled. And yes this cases i know of are Thai students, but also i know for one guy from Sveden who payed the tution fee and never showed up, they told him "No metter you pay yourself and you dont have schoolarship, if you dont attend the class we will cancel your visa"....I have heard that last semestars some students from Thailand and Vietnam were sent home indeed.. I dont know for other universitys but it seems like YNNU take this pretty seriously

Why wouold you do so if its not the secret? If it is just because to be able live in CHina without visa then IMHO marryng a Chinese is better way to go....If you are marryed to a Chinese you get a 5year residance permit wich is automaticly renewed.

As others already said you just apply to study at some of Kunmings University and the you get the residance permit for a duration of the studies.

Just to inform you that usualy schools will require you to attend class, if you pay but you dont attend the classes they will cancel your visa (at least YNNU dose so !) so be carefull.

Forums > Living in Kunming > Psychology behind Chinese street behavior

First i want to say "hey" to everyone.

Personaly speaking this comment "thats like watching movie for them" is discusting and shows no respect to Chinese at all !

So have you ever heard about "distribution of responsibility" phenommen? This is not only Chinese problem this is basic human psihology. If there is some incident the probabilty that some individual observer will think "someone else will help, better I stand out" is reciprocal to the amount of the observers. In China this is specialy visible because of the China population but I can asure you if some incident happen in the country side, much more people will go and help.

Basicly if somebody is attacked or hit by a car, and 99 people just watch him, and only 1 person help, this 99 individuals are "normal" and the helping person is "not normal" looking from human psihology corner.

As i wrote before this is not only China problem, for example Youtube is full of videos injured people dying on the street in the USA also just you live in China so you notice it much more :)
