I'm planning on traveling in Sichuan and Xinjiang this summer, and maybe Qinghai. I plan on leaving toward the end of June and returning in early August. I'm looking for someone who is, like me, a laid back, budget-minded, non-smoking, spontaneous yet responsible female traveler. If you might be interested in joining me for all or part of the trip, let me know.

I'd also be interested in hearing about anyone's recent experiences in any of these provinces.

There is a great second-hand clothing market on the 65 bus line, on the map it's next to 昆明西苑客运站 on 科华路. I was there today. Lots of stuff for just 5 or 10 kuai. Good stuff, including lots of winter coats for 10 kuai.

Hopefully not, but I would be completely unsurprised as the entire google domain can be very easily blocked. As a precaution, I've exported all of my contacts and have set up my gmail account to forward to a backup hotmail account but to leave the email in my gmail account as well, so I'm hopefully covered. If they do block it, it will just happen with no advance warning, so being prepared is probably not a bad idea.

I'm not sure about the north station, but if you want to go south to JingHong for instance, get the 154 just east of the train station and take it to the end. The south long-distance station is right in front of the stop.

The dental floss here is not so good, and they don't have the nice fat waxed floss like Glide. As for tampons, you can get OB at Walmart, the quality is as good as US and they are much cheaper.
