I've never eaten at Huajichu in Kunming Zoulang, but I've seen the buffet and it's rather extensive... I think it's somewhere around 90-100 per person. Some of the food is in trays, some like noodles, chaofan, mixian, and fried eggs are made to order. Here's a link:

Plenty of seafood too, I remember seeing oysters there too. Could be a good deal if you show up hungry.

We got an email just before noon on Wednesday asking us to take Wednesday's event down just hours before it would have started.

We are pretty busy so a little advance warning - ideally at least 24 hours - would be much appreciated.

I went to open mic night last night to see what was going on and was pleasantly surprised. Acoustic indie rock, a South Silk Road freestyle session with Kris Ariel drumming, Xinjiang folk music by Zhu Xiaolong and then a funky band with an MC, also freestyling. Host Marc Hollingsworth did an excellent job of enlisting performers and keeping the music going. A great first night.

My apologies, absolutely did not mean it in a pejorative way... we're working on limiting our coffee intake in the future.

Four stars for a great restaurant with friendly staff.

I give Tusheng Shiguan a fifth star for its goal of promoting environmentally sound food production.

My favorite Tengchong-style restaurant in Kunming. Their ersi and erkuai are trucked over from Tengchong and are the real deal — Kunming ersi and erkuai do not compare.

The restaurant itself is a bit jumbled, but there are a couple of tables outside in the courtyard that are nice to sit at when the weather's pleasant.

Don't believe them when they say they don't have lufu.

Tom and Jiajia have been baking up a storm lately. Thanks to them I have delicious sourdough bread to toast on the space heater in the office.

The Bircher muesli is probably the healthiest and most delicious breakfast around.

Pound for pound, one of the best little Western restaurants in China. 佳佳万岁

Just had gnocchi in mushroom sauce and a glass of wine for dinner on the balcony in mid-January. Awesome.
