Thanks Ludwig, It sounds that you have been there, maybe it is a better idea to go from Yuanyang to Wenshan city, overnight there, than go first to Puzhehei Scenic Area move on to Bamai and find a place to sleep in Guangnan?

We are doing a round trip from 3 to 4 weeks including Chuxiong Congjiang zhaoxing Kaili so we see plenty

has any one visit Bamei Village?

we will come half May from YuanYang by private car, who knows the distance?

any sleeping accommodation in the area?

our next stop, after Bamei Village will be Guangman than on to Bama Village Hechi County

Before we make our (rental car/driver) roundtrip (3 weeks) from Yuanyang to Kali and what ever is of interest between it, we are thinking of adding a few days to a week sightseeing Kunming daily highlights

We were thinking of renting this fancy electric two wheelers to see some local markets and anything from the Irish pub with the bleedin muppets to have a decent cup of coffee in the highlands? coffee shop.

Has any one suggestions what to do in Kunming town? we don't mind to take it easy, and just see some local backyards on the bike, or have a nice meal in kind of great Sischuan restaurant

Any interesting modern art must see places? local markets, backstreets, art gallery's, parks? all suggestions welcome

we are two close to sixties and just passed sixties do it your self travellers
who are kind of allergic of guides (no offence it is just not something for us)

We want to travel in the beginning of the month of Mai (between 8 and 15) from Kunming to Yuanyang coming back past the redlands between Dali and Kunming than Guiyang and surroundings back to Kunming or depending on the festivals in Kali the other way around. Route can change

Total duration about 3 weeks, we are looking for a car including driver, English not necessary but a few words are helpful, depending on the type of car we want to pay between 400 and 650 RMB including all cost (excluding toll roads) of driver, petrol etc. in average the distances will not be more than 1,000 km a week there will be many days we would not need the car or only for short distances, it's for 2 people with 2 small suitcases WE DON'T NEED A GUIDE ONLY CAR PLUS DRIVER
