Forums > Living in Kunming > New sim card

I am not sure, they give the sim card and together with the sales person we went to some kind of ATM machine she typed in my phone number plus pass code and I put 300 rmb in it and got 300 rmb credit on the card, so in reality I did not pay anything for the sim, would that be possible? Is there a number to deal so I receive an SMS with the credit balance on the card? I did not take the wifi one, because I can use my own one from home to log in, by local cafés etc

However in Kunming we were not able to buy a new SIM card china mobile told us today they do not sell to foreigners !! In the past we allways bought them in shanghai or Beijing and we had never a problem what is the issue??

If you look for authentic scenery, take the north road to Guangnan or take the old road direction Xingyi, beautiful villages with karst mountains as an backdrop. Puzhehei is an complete waist of time and money. Except for the one who likes this kind of mass tourism including the music, the screaming and shouting, maybe for young kids it is great fun, but for nature lovers it must be an nightmare
