Forums > Living in Kunming > Using a US camcorder in China

With regard to the voltage issue, your camcorder will have a little transmformer (the "AC Unit") much like your laptop has, or your phone etc. This may be a brick (like computers have) or may be in the form of a larger plug (like most phones). I happen to have to have five of these things beside me for various gizmos and they all state on them an input of "100-240 volts".

So I think you should be fine, but you can also look on that little box before you buy it.

I'd also be interested in going, I might go to the meeting this Thursday or the one after the October holiday. It would be good know what week you are planning on going and maybe we can go together. I have very little experience in camping, but its always fun.

Forums > Living in Kunming > Rock clubs

Hi!

I'm new to kunming. I was wondering if there are any rock clubs, or metal clubs, or 'alternative' clubs. More chinese than foreign would be better. I already know about speakeasy bar, anything else around a bit like that?

I know kundu and i'm not into those types of clubs.

Thanks!

Hi all!

I'm also going to YNNU in august/sept. I just finished a year in Wuhan but my chinese is still not great! Looking forward to Kunming, feel free to email me m.j.eyre@gmail.com.

I went to kunming last month for about a week, it rained all the time but it seemed nice!
