Forums > Living in Kunming > How bad is rain in Kunming? There is no such thing as bad weather, just wrong clothes. At least my mother always used to say that and but I still don't belive her. The good thing is that you can grab an umbrella from any random girl in the street,, they only use them in sunshine.

I was wondering how the Swedish mafia was doing these days with the increased competition from the Russians and the other gangs. What exactly do you guys do? I assume it involves smuggling fish and IKEA furniture as well as trafficking Swedes out of the country for a better life. Was it you who burried Palme? Come on you can spill the beans here,, It'll stay between you and me.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Possibility of H1N1 (SWINE / PIG) FLU in Kunming... There is very little chance of stopping this thing anyway so it's probably going to infect hundreds of million of people all over the world and especially in China where people live so close and personal space is non existant. The good thing is that the strain seems not to be as lethal as predicted. Now where can I fend a doctor who I can bribe to prescribe me some Tamiflu,,

Posted byI get why many policeofficers won't make statements due to ongoing investigations coz "Xing was healthy before going into the interrogation waiting room. He went through some emotional changes during the interrogation, but no torture was used." sure sounds fishy.
That said the more time I spend in China the less compassion I am willing to extend to thieves.

Kunming adding 900 vehicles to its roads daily
Posted byI honestly don't get why it seems to be so important for people to have a car. I assume there is some face and a little showoff-iness in it around here, but then again isn't there everywhere? Whenever my gf hints of the idea of buying a car I always say that if she can find more good reasons to do it than I can NOT to I'll go ahead and buy one. It's not even close.
-Expensive, polluting, dangerous, crashes (not the dangerous kind but the fender bender kind you see all the time), gasoline prices, theft risk, parking lot price, parking fees, lack of parking space, carvalue plummet, not to mention the traffic jams happening everywhere. Oh,, not to forget that you can take a taxi to and from work the 15-20 times a month you need to and it will still be much cheaper than buying a car and paying what is needed to keep it running.
