Well it doesn't affect the price anyway, so I'll just let it ticked and see what happens.
Actually my girlfriend can read Chinese, but not the kind of words like "refurbished" so i'm sure we'll manage (plus there quite a lot of websites that provide help on the checkout processs)
So hopefully everything will be fine from now on...
thanks again

Cheers somewhere, that's great!

so for : 官方标配 it doens't make any difference if I tick the box or not?
seems weird that there should be a tickbox in the first place....

Forums > Living in Kunming > Need some with taobao

Hi everyone, I'm trying to buy an e-book reader from Taobao, but I don't read Chinese (yet... let's be optimistic) so I'm humbly asking for your help, if you have a minute or two to answer a few questions it would be great.

After spending some time on google trad I think the characters below mean I have a choice between "new factory fresh product" on the left and "refurbished or used product" on the right. Can you confirm this?

颜色分类 : 全新包关税 / 官翻包关税

套餐类型 : 官方标配 (tickbox) : for this I don't have a clue, if I tick it, it gets more expensive, wild guess : you get to choose how well they wrap it up?

快递: 12,0 EMS: 30,0 : I'm pretty sure this is to pick the type of postal service I want, only thing : I don't really know what the difference is... is it really faster with EMS?

Thanks a lot for reading!

oh and if it helps, here's the original page :

Forums > Living in Kunming > Tattoo

I don't know if this helps and I have nothing to back it up, but i've heard bad things about tattoo parlours / donation of blood in China, apparently many people got HIV from their needdles in the past. I don't know if it's still a reality as this country is moving much faster than the news... I'm guessing not (as much).
I'd fancy a tattoo myself but I'm not sure i'm willing to risk it...

Cheers blobbles that's really usefull advice too for a noob like me (i'm guessing after a few months in China, checking you don't get sent a fake item becomes second nature...)

I was browsing for a kindle touch too and they had pictures of the kindle 3 (not touch) instead... shady indeed :{|

YEAH i'll be able to read the whole Discworld series in about a week (if the postman manage to overcome his fear of my french name and get himself to actually deliver the thing... unlike the last four letters/parcels...
got to love China hehe

The museum is closed (until 2015 because of the subway construction) the only place you can still visit is the shed, which is really amazing, you can sit in wagons one century old and be amazed at some ancient looking steam locos built in the 1880s that were still in use in Yunnan ten years ago
the entrance is free and it really deserves a visit. I'm really disappointed about the real museum though...

To find the shed just follow the tracks left of the museum, it will be on your right just before the entrance of a residence As has been stated before : it's hidden behind a tree, so look out for trees :)
