I am in the process of selling my car and am interested if anyone knows what kind of fees I can expect to pay when transferring it. The custom seems to be that the seller pays all the fees. I've heard their is a 10% tax when buying a new car, but I've not heard what the fee on a used car is.
There is a hotel and restaurant supply market on Qianxing lu in south KM. Its near the walmart on the opposite side of the street. You might take a look there.
I have a few pieces of wooden furniture that I want to ship to a friend up North. Does anyone know of a reliable and relatively affordable method of doing this? I'm guessing by truck or train might be options but would love to hear from anyone who has actually done this.
I have a Sony camcorder in need of repair. Does anyone know of a good reliable place in Kunming to take it? I hear their is an official Sony place in kunming but I hear they are overpriced. Has anyone had good experiences with them?
Thanks Vinny for the tips. I'll take a look at Paul's and stop by Dune to see what their selection is. I'd love to find some good American craft beers but that my be asking a bit much.
I had a look and you can also find a decent selection of imported beers on Tao Bao, but of course shipping could be an issue. I found Trappistes Rochefort 6, which one of the reviews of Dune mentioned them having.
Other than the new index and maps, can you tell any major differences between the original "Exploration of Yunnan" and this new edition? Is the content and pictures from the original largely the same?
