Try 兄弟 by 余华著, it's a pretty good book if you ask me.

You could also try anything by 鲁迅, language is a bit hard but he is really an interesting author.

Hmm ok, I heard last year that they have the test in about 10 different languages. It's done on a computer. But if there were no English version, then that's not a problem. After 3 years in China I can handle Chinese ok enough. I just want to know where to go :)

I'll try to contact the transportation bureau and see what they have to say. It should be enough just to take the test. I've never heard of any foreigner who had to undergo training.

Does anyone know how to apply for one? Where to get the proper books if I have to take a test etc. I've seen a few ads now and then on gokunming, but they all seem like scams. Anyone got some good info?

I was here at that time but I can't even remember that people mentioned it. Hehe, you interested in astronomy or what? All your posts seems to be related to astronomy at least :)
