is it possible to fly from Banna to Luang Prabang? how much does it cost?!
went to Laos in Nov. I bought usd with rmb at the Bank of China on Dong Feng Xi Lu before going. bought kip when arriving in Vientiane with rmb. I think it's cool if you only have rmb at hand cuz you can buy kip with it when you're in Laos. the exchange rate as I had in Laos were: Vientiane 1rmb=1230kip Luang Prabang: 1rmb=1150kip
There is a restaurant called" Gan Cao Yuan" which tucks in the Shangyi Lane(尚义街 (beside Kunming TCM Hospital-Sakura Hotel area). It's opened by a Taiwanese businessman who practices Buddism. You don't have to worry about food safety problems at all since food materials are very fresh and they have many options of faux meat. I've been there a couple of times and really enjoy my meals there. relaxing environment, smiling waiters and above all, good food. With about 40RMB/person you can actually enjoy a pretty good dinner there. very casual and comfortable.
