Ear plugs? There's a pharmacy on the North side of 人民中路, about 300-500 meters from Parksons going towards 小西门 which sells great ones.
I live near Kundu, so as well as drunks going home singing very badly and loudly, lots of fights and screaming, cars and bikes racing, i've also had to put up with what i assume became a divorce next door (massive amounts of screaming and beating on locked doors going silent), most of my neighbours renovating their single floor apartments to two floors, and very bad violin and piano practices early in the morning (although the drum kit player stopped about 6 months ago).
The earplugs have really been a life saver. Or sleep saver i should say.
As for dogs, i used to have a neighbour who let hers out into the corridor in the middle of the night, where they'd shit and piss everywhere, as well as make a huge racket. Dogs barking at 4am when you have to get up for work at 7 is not pleasant. After a few nights of me going out with a broom and giving the dogs a sharp tap with the handle, they actually learnt that barking at night outside my door was a bad thing. Smart dogs. Soon after the neighbour in question mysteriously stopped letting them out too.... The dogs still crap everywhere in the corridor though, and walking towards my front door playing "avoid the puddles of piss" is still one of my favourite games.

To "the truth":
I am the current manager of the Game Cafe, and first let me express my deep shock, and apologize for your experience.
Sunday is day I am usually away from the cafe, but close-by and available to be reached by phone if I am needed. The fact I was never called for when needed is an issue I find very upsetting, and has been thoroughly addressed.
As for the food, the pantry is something I double check before every weekend, and everything you ordered should have been available. The fact you were told they were not is unacceptable, and those involved have been dealt with accordingly.
Thank you for your comments, and again, I am deeply sorry for your trouble and inconvenience. I assure you your next visit will be phenomenally better.
To "nicklash":
The "pancakes" you mention are technically called "crepes", a regional French dish and labelled in the menu as such. They are actually meant to be thin :-)
To others:
As for the general comments & ratings on the lack of drink selection (i.e. alcohol choice, our soft drink selection is quite large) our specialization is games, therefore most of our space is taken up by those, leaving our drinks fridge not the largest. The alcoholic beverages we do supply consist of China's more popular ones, & boast some of the cheapest prices on the street.
If people would like a larger choice to quench their thirst for alcoholic drinks, there is actually a very good bar next door which specializes in world beers. Although I suppose I really should review them and give them one star for their very poor board game selection (joke).
Furthermore, if you would like to play games in a bar with a larger choice of beer and wine, our games are available for rent at a reasonable price, with a small refundable deposit.
Thank you again for your comments and understanding.
