Thanks for all your responses:
Actually I just NEED a person in Kunming with English/Chinese knowledge (oral and writing) who is available tomorrow afternoon or next morning.
I know the whole process about working/residence permit:
- I'm applying for the 'work book' at the 'Yunnan Human Resource and Social Security Office' in Kunming and NOT at any HR dept. of a company.
- I already have a working permit
- I come back tomorrow from HK where i made and got my Z-Visa
- I am a owner of a 'Whole Foreign Invested Company' (but still need to hire myself and to have a working permit)
So please, I don't need (right now) any advices about the process, I just need an helping hand ;). Let me know if you could or if you know a person who would...

Thanks for your answer. But have you ever dealt with them? I did and I think most probably they will just send me back and refuse my application - that's in fact the easiest for them, haha (depending on their mood of course). Since I can only spend a very short time in Kunming for this matter I don't want to take this risk.
I'm in kind of desperate situation since I only have tomorrow and the day after tomorrow I already fly on and my friend who supposed to help me got sick...
Hello,
tomorrow afternoon July, 11th (or maybe July, 12th in the morning if my flight is delayed from Hongkong) I need to go to the Human Resource Office in Kunming for my working visa.
I have to fill out one form (in Chinese), so I would be happy if someone could go with me to this office since I can't write Chinese. My friend who actually wanted to help me got sick today and had to go to the hospital!
I guess it takes about 1-2 hours including to go there.
I offer a nice dinner or let me know if you prefer a payment and how much. Please leave your phone number since I'm flying tomorrow from Hongkong to Kunming.

Hallo Sandra

I bought an apartment in Dali. The buying process was without any problem. But when it came to pay resp. exchanging money to pay for the property I ran into following trouble.
I went through the process to get approval from the Foreign Exchange Bureau that I can exchange more than 50'000 USD (which is the yearly limit for foreigner exchanging money). Took me some time to fullfill all paperwork and I paid several visit to this Bureau just with the result that after exchanging the money 'Bank of China' AND the Foreign Exchange Bureau insists that the amount I exchanged for paying the apartment counts against the limit I can exchange privately every year!
They do not matter or consider that in fact the amount I need to pay for my apartment is higher than 50'000USD. They say I can't exchange any money anymore this year!
I'm pretty sure that they interpret the regulation wrong. It doesn't make sense that the amount to pay for the house (for which I got a special approval/allowance) counts to the normal limit of exchanging money for private use.
Anyone who have different experience?
Any real estate company or lawyer know the regulations?
I need to exchange some money this year for my living - I can't eat 2 Kuai noodle soup everyday..., haha
Thanks in advance for any advice!
