Stayed here on a recent trip to Tengchong. It's a few kilometers away from the lovely town of Heshun. The hotel can be marked as a boutique hotel with a distinct and classy design, attentive service, good food (including breakfast), and an attention to detail that one doesn't often come across here in the province.

Really appreciated the small 'gifts' they left in the room everyday, from drip coffee to flower cakes to facial masks.

Lao Fa. We all look forward to you opening a bar so we can come and pass judgement. Kris cooks everything with love and both Alex and Kris are great hosts but the first month or so in any business are hideously difficult. Please review again in six months after these hard working guys get their training wheels off.

We were drooling looking at the menu, but the dishes turned out to be tiny and insipid.
I suggest adding a pinch of love and passion in the kitchen and a big table spoon of hospitality in the management.

Among the bars that are catered toward an all-Chinese crowd this is easily my favourite. Reasonably priced drinks, great decor and a strong house band all help to rarely have an average experience.

On top of that, the place seems to be packed every day ever since they opened last year.

Love this Dai/Jingpo restaurant inside the Jinding National Media Park. Great environment, good selection of dishes and a very authentic flavour.

Recommending the BBQ'ed beef and meat ball soup with pickled veggies.

Nicely decorated and a great selection of Yunnanese food options, incl. some Dehong specialties. Loved every dish on a recent visit.

I have been here several times over the last two years. High quality, authentic Italian taste. Portions could be bigger, but prices are fair, considering they use imported ingredients. I definitely recommend pizzas, desserts, lamb and steaks.

Cozy, easy going bar with good tap beer and yummy things to eat (onion cake and plum crumble are my favorites), close the other places in the hongshan area. A nice alternative, give it a try.
Btw, it is on xuefulu, between la Boulange and Mojito Bar (aka between jianshelu and honshandonglu).

Hands down the best draft craft beer in Kunming. On top of that, very reasonable prices for food and other drinks (especially wine).
