I was in Kunming for only two weeks and discovered CCW through this listing. I called the number here and was greeted by Bagher, an amazing instructor who was incredibly welcoming during my few days in town. I attended two amateur catch wrestling classes where Bagher was very enthusiastic and passionate enough to teach me so much theory and technique during class. Truly a pleasure to train with the group, I had a great time here. Bagher is so skillful and experienced. He provided great guidance in technique.

This is a great place to walk around and generally kill time while shopping for nothing in particular. Nearby is the Paulaner Brewhouse for super fantastic food, coffee and drinks, outdoor patio dining or just hanging and people watching.

Had a great afternoon and evening there sampling the great range of beers. Kevin the no. 1 brewer there was on hand to give us the history of the beers we tasted. To top it all I tucked into the All Day English breakfast. At 43rmb this is great value and authentic with eggs, bacon, locally made sausage and locally made black pudding, fresh grilled tomatoes, English style baked beans and local mushrooms topped off with 2 pieces of fried bread. Delicious. What more can a thirsty hungry person want!

For those following the tragic saga of the baby calf elephant (born at Kunming Zoo), who was forcibly separated from its mother to perform as solo act elsewhere for profit, there's finally some good news. After months of social media uproar and complaints over the cruel treatments of the calf in tears during training in leaked vids, the calf is soon returning back to our local zoo. The visibly depressed mother and calf will soon be reunited after a brief quarantine period. One extra star for the zoo for adhering to the voices of the public. A step in the right direction. More compassion for our animal friends in captivity.
