The Haba Snow Mountain International Youth Hostel was formerly known as the famous "Haba Snow Mountain Inn." Located at the foot of Haba Snow Mountain in Haba Village, Sanba Township, Shangri-La County.

The owner is He Shao Quan (和绍全), phone 139-8874-9869, and according to the owner, it began its legacy in 1996 when my brother-in-law Yang Xiaoming and I made the first civilian ascent to the summit of Haba Mountain. This marked the beginning of civilian climbs of Haba Snow Mountain. Since then, my wife Yang Xiulan, my daughter Afen, and my younger cousin have all reached the 5396-meter peak of Haba Snow Mountain, earning the local title of the earliest conquerors of the mountain. In homage to our deep affection for Haba Snow Mountain, the last four digits of all our hostel's phone numbers are "5396," representing the mountain's elevation. Since its opening, the hostel has successfully guided nearly a thousand climbing enthusiasts to the summit of Haba Mountain without any fatal accidents, thanks to our extensive mountaineering experience and rigorous safety principles.

In May 2008, Haba Snow Mountain Inn officially joined the International Youth Hostel Federation, rebranding itself as "Haba Snow Mountain International Youth Hostel." It has since become the most capable hostel within the federation for mountain climbing.
