The New Asia Athletics Park is run using a unique operating model. The neighborhood spans across hundreds of acres. Its commercial street boasts an ethnic cultural design, which merges shopping, leisure, dining and entertainment into one to meet the needs of nearby residents. In addition, there is also a hot spring spa and a new independent villa-style office area, not to mention the Xingyao campus of the Affiliated Middle School of Yunnan University and the Xingyao Hospital of the First People's Hospital of Kunming. The park’s supporting facilities include eight international sporting venues, housing for athletes, and accompanying commercial services for the community.
