Cantina • Wine & Chat
Good selection of wines and desserts. Food is consistently nice as well, although a bit expensive. Great decor and service.

Went here a while back, hoping to get some good Italian food. Considering it is fairly pricy you would at least expect some kind of quality. However, I ordered the pasta carbonara, but what I got was basically only pasta and some sauce. Had to look hard for any traces of meat. Also no vegetables at all. Definitely not worth the money.

A group of four of us (two Chinese and two Americans) decided to try this restaurant as we'd heard so much good about it. "What a fantastically dreadful place", my only response. One of our Chinese partner's pasta came with the "complimentary two inch human hair gracing the top of her plate". When she pointed it out to the server he called the manager over who reached in with her fingers, removed the hair then walked away. When my friend protested the manager became demonstrably annoyed (poor thing had her wine drinking and smoking interrupted) and finally provided a new plate (we think) of pasta for her.
So where was the owner of this establishment? Give this place a pass, stay home and make your own pasta. You'll be much happier. The food is very common and the service is atrocious. I give it one year max before it's out of business.

I was pretty excited about this place from all the reviews and ads. But the food was mediocre. Decent but not much flavor. The real problem was the management and service. Our pizza and lasagna took forever and it was cold by the time it came out, a solid 45 minutes of waiting for bland food. Perhaps they're still working on improving their micromanagement skills and I hooe it does but I felt they should have compensated us in some way for the poor quality of service. Maybe it isn't so bad as a general standard out here but this would get you fired for sure if you worked in the US. I'm just trying to save someone the trouble if they're as excited to try this place as I was.

Recently the food seems to be better. Decent steak at a decent price, decent pizza, some decent wine, and the music is more suitable these days (Rammenstein wasn't the right mood music for Cantina)!
