The baked goods here are good and I get them all the time... buuuuutttt... on my last visit I got some bad muffins. I don't know what was in them but I suspect there was some bad hygiene when they were made/packet. It was definitely the muffins though (I didn't think it was at first) as they made me horrifically sick twice over the space of a week, each 5 hours after I ate one. Sure its only one bad experience but its enough to make me think twice about their muffins/cookies in the future.

Otherwise the sit down food is only average. The staff are brilliant though, some of the best servers in Kunming and willing to speak Chinese/English at the drop of a hat. Nicely laid out store with a few added extras.

2 off for making me horribly sick!

说实话,我喜欢这里的点心。价格也不贵。但是有一天我在买回来的APPLE PIE里发现了一根短白发！唉,能不能戴好你们的厨师帽。

我也很喜欢这里的SALAD BAR,但每次吃回来都有不太舒服的感觉,我朋友也是一样。可能有的READY-MADE SALAD存放在冰箱里的时间比较长吧,希望能保证新鲜。

The staff here are the friendliest, most eager to help workers I have encountered in Kunming. This place definitely makes living in the Dian Chi area more pleasant! Keep up the great work, Wicker Basket!

This location has indoor and outdoor seating as well as a mini-store for difficult to find Western items. The food is quite good and varied - not gourmet quality but it isn't trying to be. The reason for 5 stars is the service. Dinner entrees come with an abundantly stocked salad bar, but I arrived 30 minutes early. Instead of saying 'no' about the salad bar, the staff hastily set it up in time for my dinner to arrive. Quality and class.
