Next time just threaten to call the police right away. No more scheming bs from Kunming landlords.
Also, you haven't enjoyed a good second hand smoke till you've had one in the elevator.

I enjoyed one this morning. Came back from walking the dogs, a guy pops in with a cigarette half smoked, and the elevator breaks down on the 4th floor. The fragrant aroma remained well thick for the whole 10 minutes we were stuck in there.
Landlords! Who really thinks it's a good idea to have people have incomes created from simple ownership? Real estate is only a very obvious example.
I don't think it's a 'good' idea. I have a house several thousand kilometres from where I'm currently working. It's a 'brilliant' idea.
Add to the Except list.
Trucks with 300 decibel horns...all trucks in general.
Buses that must burn coal for fuel given the black choking cloud they give off.
E-bike alarms...maybe just all e-bikes period.
After just spending two weeks in Bangladesh, let me just say that every complaint I ever had about traffic or infrastructure or urban hygiene in China is now a mute point. Kunming now strikes mas as a modern, developed, civilized place.
...except for ads and (mostly terrible) music playing in public buses.
Hated the ads on busses, took me years before I could ignore them, which I can now do. Advertising is annoying everywhere, but we've all learned to accept it - this is not a good thing, as, because everything becomes hype, one begins to believe that everything MUST BE hype - that there's no alternative. And then, of course, their won't be, unless we create it.
Mindcops!
That woman who walks by my place 16 times a day yelling 'Guandu baba' :D
Robin who I didn't see for more than a week
