Don't get scammed like I did

How ironic, you probably need a decent cup of coffee to get your brain into gear to figure out where to pick up your coffee maker... dang!

I suggest avoiding taobao unless you can't find the product anywhere else. What did you buy? A coffee maker? Metro, Carrefour, Suning, suning.com, amazon.cn, newegg.cn probably all have them and you won't need to worry about scams.

"Metro, Carrefour, Suning, suning.com, amazon.cn, newegg.cn"

Those places have smaller type of scams like fake pricing and lower quality of the product ordered. But these pretty much happens everywhere and are not as big as identity theft. It would still be much safer to shop at brick and mortar stores and pay the premium price on the same items if you aren't bothered to anticipate big endless scams from consumer to cosumer websites like Taobao, eBay, or even Amazon.

@blobbles, LOL such a catch 22.

But yeah abcdabcd it's not an electric coffee maker, just one of those pots with the handle on top that you press down... They aren't that hard to find, but I thought I could get a good price online.

And btw, it finally came! It is nice, just what I wanted. Honestly, I don't really think it had anything to do with taobao. I think I was just expecting a package on the day they sent out a mass scam text message, what a terrible coincidence.

abcdabcd, DANG shoulda posted in the classifieds first, between all of the personal ads lol

it's not too late!!! maybe you can combine a personal ad with an ad for a french press.

hot sexy chick looking for wild fun, not a serious relationship, not a visa. just a plain good 'ol no strings attached roll in the hay. if you're married, it's even better. i love breaking societal norms. p.s. men with a french press who can make me an espresso in the morning especially turn me on.

@abcdabcd, why avoid taobao? I have been buying things from it for two years now, and I always get a better price than stores, quick delivery, and great customer support. One, someone did try to scam me with the delivery scam, but only once, and that stuff happens on other sites too.

Taobao is amazing, try ordering stuff from Guangzhou or Shenzhen if possible, arrives in 2,3 days maximum.

Daithi, the air in Nanjing is horrible. also very humid, don't go there for the weather..
