Any place like this inside the perimeter of Cuihu, Yuantong Beilu, Xuefu Lu, Hongshan DongLu? When I was living in the North, there was this shop where I used to go to, that had competent and caring staff. I've still been going there whenever needed but it's quite time-consuming travelling to the place everytime.
sorry, no idea. except that for supplies, try the usual suspect - taoabo. what kind of dog do you have?
I'm also looking for one in that area. I asked that question here before, but didn't get any replies. I'm especially looking for a boarding kennels for a few days over spring break.
I've been going to the Bird and Flower market for supplies.
Around the West Station Bridge (西站桥)is a pet store with supplies. Not the deplorable vet hospital (that is the tallest midget in the vet circus in KM) but across the street, near a mobile place station. Last time I was in there they had food and supplies, but that has been a while. But it is still there. I have been using a Carefourre recently as it is on a bus line I take regularly.
I found this list of markets online, I haven't been to all of them.
I usually buy dog food from Yuanbo, but I've been to Chunyuan market and I think it might be the place for you, they seem to specialise in breeds that Yuanbo doesn't so much (terriers, Schnauzers). Their grooming people looked very professional to me, more than othe places I've seen. The dogs looked amazing with their new 'haircuts'. I would go more often if this place was closer to me, but I live in the south.

Yep, no problem. If there is anyone interested in pet markets/shops in the south, I know a few.
Guandu Flowers and Birds Market (官渡花鸟市场),1009 Erjilu (珥季路). It's a shortish walk from the subway station (Erjilu) and lots buses stop on the main road (Caiyunbeilu 彩云北路). They have puppies for sale, some fish and birds and other little pets like hamsters. (I got my dog here.. Just a small warning that puppies on markets can be sick/younger than told and unvaccinated even if they claim otherwise, my puppy was discovered to have parvo..Vet cost 3000rmb for 8 days extensive care) They have vets and dog grooming too and pet supplies. I know one shop there that has all kinds dog toys 5 yuan/ each.
In Chenggong, there is vet and pet supplies close to Longjie bus stop. In new Chenggong, there is a pet shop opposite to 中华小学. It's kind of hidden and not many taxi drivers find it, so you better look it up in the map and give directions. They have food, toys, grooming, vaccines and they can look after your dog even during CNY (30/a day small, 80 big dog).
Excellent! That's one precious list. Thanks!
There's also a place on Jiaochang Donglu (parallel to where Carrefour is located on Longquan Lu), just where the road starts to curve. There's a large walking square in front of it.
