yopopo, youi could take the time to find the products etc., but make sure to relax a bit from all that and pay some attention to China itself, as it is a rather interesting place.

thanks!
taobao and salvador's sound great.
i do and will continue to use baking soda and vinegar and other such things as and when possible to avoid buying products we can make at home.
i also heard taobao is a great source for getting healthy food so i'll dig into it soon after i arrive.
thanks again! =)
Making simple stuff as you say is a good idea. Also, if you can get a flat with a bathtub you can save water (we have droughts).
Um...I have a recipe e-book on natural (allegedly "green") home cleansers. Failing that, Amway (not me) allegedly makes green detergents and cleansers. Maybe, their time has finally arrived.
thanks again everyone!
seems i won't be living in kunming after all.
i love the challenge of finding my own way to live in a new place so i am excited by the chance to give it a go in china. =)
Hey, yopopo, best wishes, hope we didn't scare you off!
i am simply trying to figure out which city in sub-tropical china offers the best living conditions for what i seek (clean, green, affordable, beautiful landscape...).
thanks again for all your kind inputs. =)
you were originally looking for personal care products. now you're looking for a green place to live? so i would venture to guess that you're yanking people's chains.
Hiya yopopo
I'm just curious to know did u decide on somewhere yet? And if u did what swayed u in that direction?
all the best
David
yopopo, try Xishuangbanna (Sip Song Panna) - Kunming is not subtropical.
