It's subjective. If you go on a Lonely Planet thread, some people will claim it's dangerous and others not. So I could be wrong about how safe it is. But I'm not wrong in suggesting it might be a bit irresponsible to start these types of threads without sufficient proof.

Also, which is it? Is it safe or is it not safe? Because it surly sounds like you were 100% sure that it was safe in your first posting and then after having looking it up to say it is not safe and now back traking to say that you could be wrong about being wrong.

I said his link doesn't prove anything. I did a very quick google search which seems to suggest a certain level of crime, but it's debated on the Lonely Planet forum.

So my conclusion is that I'm still not sure and that he hasn't convinced me of anything.
