For the Mid-Autumn Fest, my husband and I are going to Dali. Now keep in mind that we have never lived in China before and so everything around us is new. We have heard so many good things about Dali and we decided to check it out next weekend. What are some things that we have to go and see or do while we are in Dali? What are some good restaurants to eat at? Overall what do we have to do so that we don't look back wishing we would have done those things while we were there....
I am not a drinker or a person who needs to eat at restaurants but I like to walk and see the sights. Lots to do in Dali if you are willing to walk around and discover things on your own.

You have to at least cycle half of Er Hai lake.
One thing i wish i had done is put sunscreen lotion.
Can you rent bikes near to Erhai lake?
The closest shops would probably be near the East gate. The south gate is also not that far. 25-30 for one day, cheaper if you rent more bikes
I meant, 25-30 for one bike, and if you rent more bikes, it's cheaper per one bike.
Looking back I wish I would of bought some ganja from that old woman. Or was it I wish I hadn't bought some ganja from that old woman...
